I realize this isn't the name of the new Terminator movie, but I think it might be applicable. I understand that the story for Terminator: Salvation will ignore the story of the third Terminator movie (with Nick Stahl and Claire Danes). I happened to like the third movie (at least the ending, which is weird I know), so I'm curious as to the reasons for this. Perhaps they just want flexibility in telling the story with Christian Bale's character, and perhaps they don't need to do too much except maybe a passing reference that only the Terminator faithful knows isn't official canon.
In any event, I look forward another reboot with Christian Bale leading the way. Batman seems to be doing just fine with him.
