Mandatory Camp for Kids?

After our doorbell rang from a ring-and-run last night, I'm thinking that some (or maybe all) kids need to have more to do with their time. Perhaps a mandatory camp for them once school is out. They can have fun there, but they need to "place out" of it if they don't want to go. Placing out would involve sending a list of kids to each neighbor and seeing if they are a nuisance at all. If a kid is selected by any neighbor, then they go to camp. If "unknown" kid is selected, they all go until they fess up. This way they can police themselves and start to grow up.

Okay - I'm done now. Camp Anti-Boredom is a bad idea...

George Carlin

I couldn't believe the news that George Carlin had died. He was 71, but it seemed like he'd go on for so much longer. I used to watch him back in the day with his observational humor and I'm pretty sure that he helped contribute greatly to my 4 letter vocabulary. He will be missed.

Reconnecting

I think that my joining of Facebook yesterday has rekindled a desire of mine to connect with old friends and to keep up with existing ones. Perhaps Facebook isn't the way it'll happen, but hopefully it will spark the interest enough to keep it going.

Facebook

I justed joined Facebook and am trying to get a bunch of friends to add me. It's an interesting experiment. I'm not sure if it'll stick, but we'll see.
